Will Poole, the oft-injured third-year cornerback waived off injured reserve Dec. 19, tried out for the New Orleans Saints over the weekend. Poole, a 2004 fourth-round draft pick, has missed the past two seasons because of knee problems. After a promising rookie season, Poole was a projected starter for the Miami Dolphins in 2005 before tearing two knee ligaments during a minicamp.
