If the Home Depot boycott happens, I think Mr Blank lose more money than if he got rid of Vick. |

Boycott Home Depot, I dont mean to be disrespectful of your ideals or the manor in which you want to be anti Vick, but if your going to go this route then you should go all the way and just Boycott the NFL.
If you know it or not alot of money is made off of dog fighting, once again the only reason this crime is being reported so much is because a big name star is attached to the crime. Hay Bret Farve had an addiction to pain pills a while back, didnt hear anyone talking about boycotting cheese. Micheal Irving has a crime sheet a mile long so to speak....didnt hear anyone talking about not watching ESPN or boycotting his Hall of Fame induction last year. Sports stars are given so many free pass in life its not even funny. During my time at LSU, and in Shreveport we had alot of local talent who didnt do anything in school or college and somehow manage to pass highschool on the honor roll. *Stromile Swift ring a bell anyone* How many reports did I hear of women being raped at LSU and things being overlooked or ignored to save the face of the school or the "program". And its not just at big schools either, Grambling has the same kind of issues going on as well. Vick is a star in the NFL, worse off he is a star on a team that can change the game in a second and the saints have to face this team twice a year. Is Vick stupid for his actions....in a simple answer yes. Yet he is more stupid for his careless additude when incidents like "Ron Mexico", "The myspace Joint", and the "Water Bottle" are so easly caught and so easly traceable. Alot of other people and players commit the same actions as Vick, they just have common sense to not be so open about it. Vick is not a rolemodel, he is an NFL player....nothing more and nothing less. I find it very funny that people get all worked up over a 26 year old who plays a game for a living doing stupid things than the current state of goverment which has far greater impact on our lifes, than the falcons star player. |
You say that were nuts for pulling for them, you call them sorry, you wonder why we deal with them year after year. Well New Orleans is like no other city in the world, and no fans are anything like saint fans.

It is in the name of the children we hang this man. The bad moral fiber that makes this man a man, has been deamed unexceptable. Now away with him.
Seriously If you agree or not agree with with all this. You have to admit that he is a role model to all the kids that play the sport and want to play like him. Heck it has always been that way thru-out history. It is the parents responsibilty to police the effect the players have on there kids. So many do not care it is a shame. They failed in thier youth and now they are failing thier children. So society is once again going to be the seraget parent. Maybe society should look at itself and .... never mind this will never happen. |
