this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Apparently USA Today says so according to this guy... "USA Today's special preseason football magazine has the Saints meeting the New England Patriots in the next Super Bowl." Anybody else seen this? I guess lines for the bandwagon start outside ...

Saints vs. Patriots for Super Bowl XLII?
Apparently USA Today says so according to this guy...
"USA Today's special preseason football magazine has the Saints meeting the New England Patriots in the next Super Bowl." Anybody else seen this? I guess lines for the bandwagon start outside gate C on Poydras St. Go Saints! Here's the link. http://www.bayoubuzz.com/News/Sports...Tops__3808.asp |

Its good to see our boys in Black and Gold going that far this year. Obviously anything less than the Superbowl would be a major disappointment from last year. I clearly don't see another team in the NFC challenging us for that title. But just to rowl up some feathers - Here are my picks that would give us some trouble.
1. Chicago - Being so bitter from the lickin they gave us last year, Bears still are due their respect and still stepped up when it mattered. Remember the years the St. Louis Rams kept knocking out the Eagles? Last year, on paper we clearly were the better team, but that only goes so far. 2. San Francisco - Maybe not so much for the Division crown, but the way they had their gears rolling for the latter half of the season and the bonkers offseason. I can guarantee the NFC West is going to look a whole lot different. Just my opinion. 3. Philadelphia - We barely got past them last year. I wouldn't count them out and if McNabb is healthy all year. He could be money. Anyways, J, its good to see a fellow Saints fan out here in the 310, 213, 818, or even 562. Not many of us out here, I am beginning to see people starting to where Black and Gold out in public and with pride. |

Saints vs. Patriots, would be a great Superbowl. Two good offenses, Donte' against the Saints, and Randy Moss going up against a team that passed on him in the draft.

Nice, I spent most of my life in the LBC myself. What are you doing all the way in Boulder? I heard the hotel staff is extra friendly out there. Well that's what my friend Kobe tells me. I am looking to start a Black and Gold chapter out here before the Season starts, but I don't know if there are gonna be enough heads to make it work. Seems like too many have been blinded by Black and Silver out here.

PROFOOTBALL wEEKLY--SAME PICK
The football preview mags have hit the newstands, first some regional college ones, now ProFootball Weekly's NFL preview mag is out. one fo the better ones I think, along with Sporting News, and maybe StreetandSmiths. anyway, I was quite surprised and delighted to see that very same prediction in their mag. Sainst along with eagles, Bears, and I think Seahawks, to all go 11-5. they have NE, and Indy, and maybe Balt or SD all going 12-4. interesting thing is Saints only have 2 players in their top50 ratings (Bush and Brees). says team effort there i guess.
