More LeCharles news......
I realize he is no longer with the Saints, however, just knowing that this kid is going through such agony and pain is just sickening to see. I wish him all the best.
"Browns C LeCharles Bentley (torn patellar tendon) will undergo another round of knee surgery on June 4, according to ESPN's Len Pasquarelli. Cleveland's $36 million man from an offseason ago will spend his second straight year on injured reserve. The team is likely hopeful Bentley can help in 2008 but at this point his career certainly appears to be in jeopardy." http://www.rotoworld.com/content/Home_NFL.aspx |

Servers him well for not wanting to play in N.O. and being a big crybaby.

Look I can not blame him for bailing on the club. He is on a long list of good players that we sent or drove away during the Haz years. The fans did not see it until later, what had happened to the club. We did not listen to Turley and the insites to that teams story. We are just now begining to see that the stories were true. Things were far worse in the club house than we ever relized. So lighten up and keep your anger in check. I wish he stayed. I am sure he loves the changes that have happened here. We all know it is about time. Haz is the only one I will Boo and @#&# when he returns to the dome. Once a saint always saint. Best of luck charles. |

...sorry, but nope.
They were throwiing money at LeCharles. They wanted him in N.O. He was one of Haslett's pets. It wasn't even one of those "they're disprespecting me by not paying me". Had Bentley come out and said something like "my time is up in NO", ok, fine... but when you pull the crybaby act and start spewing crap, sorry, can't really feel bad for you. |

No he was one of those that said enough is enough I want out. He was not the only one. Think back to Turley and what he was saying way back when. The biggest thing he keep redirecting the media back to was the way the team was being run.
"Way to many good players have left for this team to win" He put the blame squarely on Haz and the front office. That team was divided, fist fights and such in the locker room. Come on. Any true pro would want out of there. I just thank god we had contracts on alot of good ones to keep them here. I think his pro bowls made him more of a pet than haz's opion or love for him. |

Wait hold up, stop the bus......LeCharles worked hard for the saints, he didnt hold out for more money, the only time he got more vocal about his contract not being extended was during that same time the saints front office gave the "peoples champ" Joe Horn an extension.
Keep in mind that LeCharles also had a few issues with Joe Horn, and had come out in the media and made it public he didnt like him, or the constant running of his mouth. In the end he hit the free agent market, which the saints could have put the tag on him, but didnt. He went to go play for his home town, and play in front of his family. As much as I love the saints players, I know they are flakey as the fans are in most cases. Remember how pissed Charles Grant was when the tag was placed on him, remember the talk of disrespect and the trips down to Tampa. But hay now that he has a new contract, its all smiles and love for sean payton and the city of new orleans. |
You say that were nuts for pulling for them, you call them sorry, you wonder why we deal with them year after year. Well New Orleans is like no other city in the world, and no fans are anything like saint fans.

That is indeed bad news for LeCharles, I hope that he can come back. If memory serves me correctly, this injury was aggravated tremendously by the nasty critter "staph infection"? Anybody know for sure? Something about it being a locker room problem for several players there in Cleveland. (Actually a person can lose a limb over one of those infections, so his career is definitely in jeopardy
