Power Rankings

WEEK____RECORD__RANK__COMMENT
Week\18___10-6____6____Saints players aren't treating time off as a vacation. No Vegas trips this week for these guys. Instead, players are staying low-key and getting healthy.

Week\17___10-5____4____With Deuce McAllister topping 1,000 yards and Reggie Bush figuring it out (2.6 ypc and 0 TDs in first eight games vs. 4.8 ypc and 5 TDs in last seven), Saints have as good of running game as anyone in the NFC.

Week\16____9-5____6____Saints won the NFC South, but after losing to the Redskins and scoring their lowest total in any game this season, only a few players bothered to put on the commemorative hat and T-shirt.

Week\15____9-4____3____We'd have to give our MVP vote to LaDainian Tomlinson, but it wouldn't be without thinking long and hard about Drew Brees.

Week\14____8-4____7____The ''Reggie Bush has arrived'' moment came in the second quarter when he caught a short pass on the 49ers' 15, left three defenders grasping for air, plowed through two more and carried a few others down to the 1.

Week\13____7-4___10____New Orleans had zero turnovers in win over Atlanta, which leads to this stat: Saints are 4-0 when they commit zero turnovers, 3-4 when they have at least one.

Week\12____6-4___13____The Saints' defense (118 points allowed in last four games) is starting to play the way everyone expected at the beginning of the season. That's not a good thing.

Week\11____6-3____9____Even in a loss, it's oh so obvious that Drew Brees is the best free-agent signing of the season. He's emerged as the Saints' leader and best player.

Week\10____6-2____8____After a big win against Tampa Bay, Saints players heard the magic words from Sean Payton: 'See you Wednesday,' meaning they had an extra day off.

Week\09____5-2____9____Trick: It's all good football-wise in the Big Easy, but remember there's still work to be done in the city.
_______________________Treat: Where to start? Reggie Bush, Marques Colston, Drew Brees, win in Superdome reopening, first place, happy fans …

Week\08____5-1____5____He's not getting the spotlight, but Deuce McAllister's return from knee surgery this season is amazing. He's averaging 4.9 yards a carry, his career high as a starter.

Week\07____5-1____7____The offensive rookie of the year may be in New Orleans, but it might not be Reggie Bush. Marques Colston -- the seventh-round pick from Hofstra -- please step forward.

Week\06____4-1___13____It took 100 touches before Reggie Bush scored his first NFL TD. It won't take 100 more for him to score again.

Week\05____3-1___15____Yeah, it's easy to see why the Chargers let Drew Brees go. He's only completing 67 percent of his passes, thrown 4 TDs and had two 300-plus yard passing games this season. Who needs that kind of headache at QB?

Week\04____3-0___14____Emotion was obviously a huge part of it, but the simple fact was that the Saints were just the better team Monday.

Week\03____2-0___17____Yes, it's just a football game, but it should be some scene Monday when the Saints host the Falcons in their first game back in New Orleans

Week\02____1-0___24____Thirty-six carries for 151 yards between Deuce McAllister and Reggie Bush. The Saints will take that every week.

Week\01___3-13___29____Reggie Bush is going to be some kind of fun to watch. That said, he's going to learn pretty quickly that running side-to-side in the NFL doesn't work as well as it did in college.

Just a friendly reminder of how hard the Saints worked and how far they had to come last year.

opions, opions, opions are just like buttholes. Just some get out in the public more than others.
I hate them. one game at a time.
