Personally, I think LJ is one dimensional, and Deuce is a complete RB. He is also one of the faces of our organization. I wouldn't trade Deuce for any RB in the league. Well....If someone came up with a 2nd round pick 3 years from now, and Pittman & company showed respectable YPC, I'd consider the offer. At least I'm honest. |

Last time I check Deuce had over a 1,000 yards, 10 tds in limited time last year. Johnson is great in the Chiefs rushing philosophies and blocking scheme, I don't think he would fit our offensive philosophies as well as THE DEUCE fits our schemes. McCallister is a proven and respectable RB in the league on and off the field, I don't think anybody in the Saints FO would even raise an eyebrow to something that don't make any logical sense. Johnson made waves when Priest Holmes was the main back for KC, and now he's doing the same thing, you didn't hear anything from Deuce when he was drafted and sat behind Ricky Williams, and you didn't hear a peep out of him when we drafted Reggie, all he did was make Bush a better professional. So what do you think is going to happen to the team chemistry if they put a me first attitude on our squad? Don't you think Coach Payton knows what that type of player does to a team, you bet your sweet praline he does.

I would trade Deuce to KC for Larry Johnson in a heartbeat. Of course in addition to Johnson, the Chiefs would have to include their first round draft picks for the 2008, and 2009 draft, along with Brodie Croyle. LOL

... let's see how any KC RB fares without Roaf and Shields first, before calling LJ a "premier" RB.

Don't waste my time. Deuce is my boy!! Plus...he know how to share the backfield and spotlight with Reggie.

No way! Even assuming the sentiment that LJ is better than Deuce is correct (I don't), this trade doesn't make sense. Deuce is a team player with deep ties to the community and who is has impeccable character on and off the field. LJ is a whiny "me first" player. It wouldn't be good for team chemistry and would make no sense to spend anything to get LJ since he'd be a minor upgrade at best.

We have the top ranked offense as someone already said if it ain't broke don't fix it.
