Brees on ESPN
Did anybody else see the Make A Wish segment on ESPN today? This kid's hero is Drew Brees and his wish was to meet Drew. It was a great story and Drew Brees is probably the best guy in the NFL. He's got a big heart and I'm really proud that he's our QB.

Yup, think I caught it twice on ESPN. When they showed the part in the cafeteria (or whatever that place was), and young Devan finally opened up and couldn't stop talking; as a guy who has some nephews w/ medical issues, got a bit dusty in the old living room.
Here's a link to an article on it by Devan's mom... http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/featu...ory?id=2919555 Really like McKenzie's actions. We are quick to criticized players, sometimes we need to remember they are human, highly paid yes, but they do try as hard as they can. Just watching it, I wonder who had more fun that day, Devan or Drew? |
