Supplemental Draft this Thursday

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; All right Gents/Ladies! Do the Saints make a move? I'm on board giving up a 4th rounder to get Oliver at CB. But I think that is the only move I would make if I were in charge. Thoughts?...

Oliver and Gaither are the only 2 intriguing prospects. I kind of want us to take Gaither, but we really don't need him after selecting Bushrod and Alleman during the NFL draft. Throw a 3rd and Oliver... I probably wouldn't go any higher. Our chances of getting him in my opinion, isn't likely. Some team will overbid for his services I think.

Agreed papz. 3rd and 5th sound ok. I am looking at the DL as a possible move but that would be as FA or maybe a 7th.

Clifton Dickson - 6037, 310, 5.18, Florida State
He was picked by some a the annual FLorida St. surprise defensive lineman for 07
Santa Rosa 6032, 312, 5.28, Utah State
He is interesting. we are talking about alot of bulk here not fat.

NFL | Gaither likely will be selected in supplemental draft
Mon, 9 Jul 2007 10:17:59 -0700

Len Pasquarelli, of ESPN.com, reports University of Maryland OT Jared Gaither had a solid overall workout for NFL scouts Monday, July 9, and likely will be taken in the league's supplemental draft Thursday, July 12. Scouts clocked Gaither at between 4.98 and 5.14 seconds in the 40-yard dash, 4.49 and 4.53 seconds in the short shuttle and 7.12 and 7.25 seconds in the cone drill. He posted a vertical jump of 31 1/2 inches and a broad jump of 9-foot-3. Gaither, however, completed only 15 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press after slightly injuring his shoulder last week. Gaither measured a height of 6-foot-8 3/4 and a weight of 324 pounds.

not as FA. I think we may end up with 1 from that route

so chances of us actually using an '08 draft pick are slim but we might snatch a leftover after the supplemental?
