Wish I could see the games. Can't find any broadcast or highlights. Here is the official site though.

See I would actually like other countries in the world to play our game of football, that way they'd realize that Americans are the best athletes in the world. They usually try to gauge it by saying that we suck at soccer or they point to our recent failures in basketball. But if you looked at the #1 sport in our country, the sport where our best athletes go to play, it's gotta be football. And here's a team of scrubs playing the best in other countries and dominating them 77-0. I'd like to see Ronaldinho and his crew go up against Champ Bailey. Americans are just physical, which is why we suck at soccer.

Well we should dominate this cup. Not to defend these other countries but... we breed football players.
Not that we have scrubbs... its high schoolers and some players who aren't in college playing, I guess you can say Little Leaguers. There are requirements to be able to play on this team, you can't put professionals on these teams its in the by-laws. Even still our high school teams can beat most countries. Some of these coutries don't have the sons out there throwing a football at birth so you can only imagine how bad the QB's probably are in there passing game. Its really difficult to learn to throw a football and I have seen this over and over again with people who haven't picked up a football at an early age its difficult. I have someone from Japan working for me and he can't throw one to save his life but he knows who Reggie Bush is... |

I don't think physicality is a detriment in soccer...the reason we suck is because everyone plays football, so we're stuck with suburban, white-collar pansies like Landon Donovan on the National Team. You give Champ Bailey, Reggie Bush, Devin Hester a soccer ball at birth and you're winning World Cups like crazy. America has the best athletes, the best coches, the best facilities and the best supporters in the world. Bottom line...(execpt for Ichiro).

RECORD BOOK: Southern Illinois placekicker Craig Coffin has already set a new tournament PAT record with one game yet to play. Coffin has converted on all 15 extra points so far to surpass the previous record of 12 set in 1999.

We beat Germany which I thought would be the hardest team in the group.
