Hello long time Saints fan. Recently joined the forum.

Haven't been here in a loooonnnnggggg time but I'm a girl. Where in Eagles territory? I'm from the York, PA area originally (my dad's an Eagle fan) but in MS now.

I don't know if the Saints have the most female fans; but for the most part, I think most male Saints fans accept the female fans without any problem and better than I suspect a lot of teams' male fans would. I became passionate about the Saints largely out of a "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" philosophy (I didn't need one more thing that excluded me out of my husband's life and Sundays are the only day we get to spend together). I never hated football before but never became rabid about it and now I'm rabid. I have to admit that a large part of the Saints appeal has been its "underdog" status and I'm usually for an underdog! Now that that status no longer applies, I'm a fan just because they're a great team and a team that is devoid of your more notorious prima donna head cases [cough]TerrellOwens[cough].

I'm in philly, deep in enemy territory. But my heart is still back home in the NO! I thought my friends and I were going to get drawn and quartered when we went to a philly sports bar and watched the saints game wearing our jerseys. We talked so much trash during that game! (Good thing we won!) Living in philly has made me loathe the eagles even more. Especially the way their fans take every opportunity to make katrina jokes when their team starts to suck. Alas, we saints fans had the last laugh last year. And we will this year too!

I'm a looooong suffering Saints fan but grew up in Iggles territory. Last season was truly a thing of beauty... did 'em once in the eye during the regular season, then in the other eye for the playoffs.

They're STILL wincing when I talk about Deuce running all over the fabled 'Gang-Green' defense!

Maybe the Saints fans in the Del-Val can get together for a game sometime!

I'm so bummed I can't get direct tv at my new place. (I used to have the NFL package, making Sundays more magical than ever.) So if you ever want to go to a sports bar in philly to watch the saints kick tail, let me know.

i'm a female fan in my family growing up if you weren't you were disowned i've thrown ppl out of my house for talking smack about my boys lol. I've also made grown men cry and burn hats of opposing teams hee hee ahhh memories

There's no way to quantify that. I love everything about the Saints and especially going to the games. Saturday night trash talking at Pat Obriens, pregaming in the Quarter on Sunday, walking to the game while taunting opposing fans, watching the Saints, then postgaming back in the Quarter. Game weekends are unbelievable!
