In the game I'm watching now on alt channel 644 or cox 57 if ya prefer, Calgary at Toronto. Derrell "Mookie" Mitchell, WR who had a tryout or so with Saints many moons ago (like 10 tears perhaps) is with Toronto (#87), and Pat McDonald who Saints signed after 2007 draft and later cut, is with Calgary (#49 I think) playing DT. In addition, ex-Lion and Eagle Mike McMahon is reserve QB for Toronto and Eric Crouch is 4th string (yes they have 4 but not all active). Damon Allen, Marcus's younger brother was starting QB but benched. he's getting old. Mitchell by the way is near tops of CFL career WR yardage. The TV commentator is ex-Fla State and longtime CFL QB Danny McManus. check it out. CFL is good stuff.

I'm pretty surprised to see Mike McMahon not with an NFL team. I've always thought he could play... well at least be a solid backup for someone.

well, after I wrote the above, the Argos made a stupid decision and it may have cost them. leading 27-0 after halftime, starting QB Micheal Bishop (ex-arena league) runs for the goal line. gets hit hard, falls on his throwing hand and did not return. McMahon finished up and damon Allen didnt play. Toronto won 49-8 i think. now, they are not sure about next week's game. fun part, CFL is only 8 teams so most teams play home and home vs everyone else. guess who Toronto plays next week on the road no less? you guess it Calgary! can you say revenge time? pressure may all be on McMahon then. he looked ok in relief.
