Saints | Second phase of Superdome renovations almost done

Jeff Duncan, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports renovations to the Superdome should be complete before the New Orleans Saints' first preseason game Aug. 10. The main part of the renovation is creating new club lounges for season ticket holders and VIPs. Another renovation will begin next offseason.


It seems that this work improving the dome will be an ongoing thing.

Nemesis

I was lurking around the Domes' interior last weekend. I saw new black seats with cupholders on the bottom level, and new gritty floors in the corridors. I've heard of suite work, but I assume it was disguised for Essence Fest. I went into the TP and Beau Rivage suites, among others. I've also heard about exterior work planned. Maybe the whole skin. Don't quote me on that, but I can still tell what I saw.

Nothing's wrong with the Dome. I was trying to sweet-talk my way into our locker room, Just for the helluvit. People with the keys were hard to find, but it seemed to be open just when I had something else to do. Damn drunks calling for assistance. Not that there's anything wrong with drunks...
