Oh they did televise the games, in Japan that is. I watched that game from the stands, we hade hoped to be in it but Japan beat us pretty bad in the round robin play so we had to settle for a bronze-match against Germany instead. We (Team Sweden) played that game in a complete downpour and unfortunately lost it 7-0 after Germany scored on a punt return.

The final betwen the USA and Japan was really exciting. In my opinion Japan were the better team but USA showed real good character and came through in the end. the Japanese national team is probably one of the fastest footballteams in the world. The Japanese players that played in NFL Europe have do drop weight and work on their speed to get back up to gamespeed when they get back to Japan, that kinda tells you something. What really helped USA to win was their physical play.

W.T. Sherman is my favorite General. After all he did order Atlanta to be burned to the ground.
