The rumor is that Couch's agent is actually calling teams to try to get a gig. Shouldnt it be the other way around? I say stay away from him.

But if he is doing the calling then there's no way he can be thinking of signing for anything above the minimum unless some unexpected bidding war starts.
Couch is a perfect example of why bad teams need to think twice about drafting a rookie QB to be their leader. That ruined Couch and he may never make it back. However, he had decent talent at one point. If it is possible to bring that back (and Payton may be the coach for that), then let's see what he's got. I'm not sold on Martin as the backup and would at least like to see us take a look here. btw, Why not look at Culpepper if I want to look at backups? Two things: 1. money and 2. Culpepper will be looking for a starting gig whether he proves himself or not. Couch won't. |
