This is the latest depth chart that has been posted over on ESPN. The most interesting points being.... 1) Michael Lewis is actually ahead of Pathon on the depth charts. 2) Sedrick Hodge is starting ahead of James Allen at the LOLB poistion. 3) Fred Thomas is starting ahead of Ashley Ambrose at RCB 4) Cie Grant is 4th at MLB, behind such powerhouses as Darrin Smith and Travis Carroll. I'm not sure how often this gets updated. Some of these leads me to believe that it has been updated recently (Lewis and Thomas), the rest, maybe not (Hodge and Grant). While posting this, I thought I might throw in this question- Who lines up next to Lewis on kickoff returns? McAfee? I'm thinking it's McAfee, but with Stallworth's 4.18 speed, shouldn't he be out there? Discuss. |

I really don\'t think they\'ll risk Stallworth with his history of hammy\'s do you? They\'ll look over the wires to find someone else is my guess. Maybe one of the rookies might make the team in that respect.

while i\'d love to see donte run, other than risking injury, i\'d say try him....he....may.......go............all...............the..............way.................................i\'d like to see duece return a few also...............you need talent at fielding the kickoff.........you either have it or you don\'t.......you can practice it til you\'re blue in the face, but mike shows you where the instinct kicks in.........no one can teach you this.......hell, brooks could run em back too.............i did not hear about the cowboys game from you b&b, any reply? smitty

Isn\'t one of the late round receiver steals suppose to be an excellent return man? If they can\'t break into a receiver position hopefully they will be able to be good special teamers.

FW, I think you\'re right. I think it was Kelly that was supposed to have experience returning.

That\'s exactly who they\'ll put back there. Kelly... he isn\'t Stallworth fast but he\'s close. And yes he does have experience returning kicks. If not him then McAffee or they may just use the formation where there is only one deep man and one \"up back\" for lack of a better term.

i had heard that lewis was tearing up the mini camps but is he really out-performing pathon?
pathon is a solid WR and performs better in the slot than as a no. 1 or 2 guy, if lewis is better that\'s great but i would hate to see lewis go down to injury playing the slot and leave us hurting on special teams lewis is 30 something remember |

I see Kelly or Lyranis Elphridge (spelling?) back there with Michael Lewis. If the latter makes the squad, he has a lot of return experience from Tulane and from what I\'ve seen of his stats, a damn good one. I think the special teams will be a force again this year. Possibly the best in football.

I don\'t care if we put a blind old lady back there, as long as she stays the hell out of the beer man\'s way!!!
But it wouldn\'t hurt if she could throw a block or two. [Edited on 17/7/2003 by BillyCarpenter1] |

Some of these guys would 1st have to make the final 53. Experience or blinding speed or both? Take your pick from the following sampling of the following.
Will Petis Lynaris Elpheage Deuce McAllister Cie Grant Donte\' Stallworth Fred McAfee Derrick Lewis |
