I love the fact that people are pigeon-holeing Deuce as the inside runner and Reggie as the outside man. Deuce made his money on the long runs in college and early in his career. He is not simply a between the tackles banger. He can certainly do that, but he has deceptive cut back speed and is a fine runner with a knack for making just subtle enough moves to give him angle edges.
The more Reggie and Deuce become interchangable in formations and play schemes the more dangerous the tandem becomes. Both are excellent catching out of the backfield and respectable blockers. The sad part is we have one of the best fullbacks in the game in Karney and he isn't a staple starter because we run so many 2 tailback and single back sets. |
