I can't find to much on these guys but what I can find seems like some interesting signings!!! I wonder if they were on Payton's radar or are we just bringing them in for a look see.

Re: Todays transactions...........
If memory serves me,and you know my memory isn't the best, he's supposed to be a speed demon with pretty good hands. His problem is the same old small school syndrome. The other guy Duckworth I know nothing about. Where's hagan when we need him? LOL

Re: Todays transactions...........
These guys are just camp body moves to see if they can catch on or maybe make the taxi squad.

Re: Todays transactions...........
For an ordinary team I would agree with you... but the Saints aren't Ordinary. Sean don't play that... you come in and produce, you will play. This WR/DB, he's played DB!!! He is a speed demon, Payton can work with that. You can't teach speed. DuckWorth BIG BOY.

I'm telling you, he's interviewing for the practice squad and hoping to get lucky and get a special teams stud.

I remember Duckworth from Auburn...seemed to hold his own in the SEC. I knew that McKnight wasnt going to make the final roster, but i am surprised to see him get cut before the first preseason game.

Re: Todays transactions...........
okay Joe Duckworth is a nice pick up. He slid big time in the draft. early on he was a 4th or 5th rounder. The senior bowl practices showed major flaws in his techniques. He slid all the way out of the draft.
At 6-3, 308, 4.52 is not all that bad. POSITIVES: Strong, small-area blocker who works hard. Explodes into blocks, has a nasty attitude and removes opponents from the action. Works to play with leverage, stays square and anchors at the point in pass protection. Keeps his feet moving and turns defender. NEGATIVES: Struggles blocking on the move. Not light on his feet and lumbers about the field. Lacks adjustment and footwork in space. ANALYSIS: A tough but heavy-legged blocker limited to confined quarters, Duckworth would be best as a backup in a power running offense. PROJECTION: Early Seventh Round SI.com - 2007 NFL Draft - Tim Duckworth He was listed among the top 25 UDFA by most. He is project that may pay off. Besides he probably cheaper. Sorry sam been a bit busy with drinking, eating, jamming and dancing lately. |
