Interception!!!!!!!!
Hate to say it but either our secondary is now HOF or our back up QBs are prone to INTs. I was in camp on Monday and the secondary looked fabulous! Any other posters been to camp and noticed this? Just wanted to throw this out there for debate. ANYONE ELSE THINK WE NEED A SOLID BACKUP QB?

Re: Interception!!!!!!!!
I sure am. It doesn't sound good the news about our backups. Maybe they'll come around or Payton will pickup someone else.

Re: Interception!!!!!!!!
Well the secondary has even made a few good interceptions on Brees from what I hear. So that's good. However they are making alot more interceptions on the backups. But that's why they are backups. There aren't too many QB's out there that can play well at the NFL level. They are few and far between. Alot of teams don't even have good starting quarterbacks. Therefore we just have to make sure Drew Brees stays healthy.

Re: Interception!!!!!!!!
There is a dearth of good QBs out there period, starters or otherwise. case in point, profootballweekly's top 50 players regardless of position (thats not "fantasy" offense only rankings, thats overall) has 4 or 5 QBs in top 10, but no more till McNabb at 33 and no more in rest of top 50. thats like 5 or 6 QBs overall in top 50). suffice to to say this may be one of lowest points in NFL as far as top quality QBs go. on flip side, i think a decent reserve QB with NFL experience such as a Luke McCown with Oakland or Tim rattay (not sure who he went to),etc may be had soon before or even after final cuts. perhaps vis cheap trade. BUT, i do not think anybody you could get this late and/or for that price would be an improvement over Jamie Martin and thats nothing against Jamie who I like to a degree. I also think Palko will be quite good in time and maybe even long term successor to Brees. as far as free agents, only one comes to mind and i dont think too many fans want ol "JJ" of "good times"'s lookalike back in town (he wore jersey #2 if ya didnt follow my joke there, sorry). we should have gone after culpepper or even brad johnson, but oh well. hmm, what about Brunell from redskins in trade?

Re: Interception!!!!!!!!
The secondary will be much better this season with Harper returning and Jason being out there...
