Are you happy that Ricky Williams when to the Dolphins?
Hi Saint's Fans
I have live in Key West for most of my life and I am and always will be a dolfan ;-) I am living in Metairie now and I am starting to look at the Saints a little bit. The Saints can never be my main love but maybe a little bit on the side I can love them. I would not call the Saints my hooker team but something like that!!! Anyways the question I have is, are you happy that Ricky Williams when to the Dolphins? I am happy ed ;-) http://nawlinsreport.com |

I\'m not speaking for all Saints but I, for one, am glad he\'s gone. There are two schools of thought as to why anyone in New Orleans feels this way. #1-his locker room antics such as curling up in a fetal postion and ignoring everyone before and after games, he magazine interviews crediting mostly himself for what a great job he was doing, his indifference to fans, (i.e. no fan autographs or photo\'s) and lastly his disruption to team chemistry.
Or #2- he was part of a bygone regime and although he helped in some ways it\'s time to reload with a new team, new attitude and better chemistry. Whatever the viewpoint, we wish the Dolphins the best of luck and we hope your team doesn\'t fall into the trap of becoming too one-dimensional with Ricky at R.B. provided he stays healthy. Sincerely, Wayne Cassady |

Cassady37 makes some good points... but I was still disappointed when they traded Ricky. It would not be so bad if they had another proven running back. I\'m not sold on Deuce... Too many injury problems and too little experience in the NFL.
Plus, what am I supposed to do with all my #34 jerseys and shirts! Anyway, welcome aboard Ed. We\'ll work on converting you. [Edited on 6/11/2002 by ctillman] |

First off nice site. Much improved. I was also very disappointed to see Ricky go. I was a big fan and really wanted to see him do well. But given all thats happened a change of scenery will do both Ricky and the Saints some good. I\'m pretty excited to see what Deuce can do.

Rick was a cancer...someone who really was a draw on the whole team. I am glad that he\'s gone, deucy will be just fine, plus he is a guy that is liked...it\'s amazing how much easier it is to block for a guy that you like. Something that I really believe will help out too is the fact that AB got a full year under his belt with a mediocre receiving staff last year...this year, the receiving corps is phenominal, and that might be an understatement. This will definitely take a little pressure off of 26. Things will be just fine, I promise.

I like most Saints fans were so happy to see Ricky come to New Orleans in the draft. I thought he was going to save the team and the franchise. Now I like most fans am not to dissapointed to see him go. With the offense we are running a back like Ricky doesnt work. I also am not completely sold on Duece, but think he will be an awsome back in the offensive scheme of McCarthy. Hes faster, more elusive, and can catch a ball thats not stuck in his face mask by AB. He will break the long run and defenses will have to respect that. I think it will be good for both teams. Miami got a great back for their system and we lost the bad link in ours. Good luck and Good Riddence Ricky Williams# 34. Welcome to New Orleans Ricky Williams #42
