As the second quarter gets under way, it's time for the Saints defense to make its first real statement. The offense and special teams have done very well, and it would be nice for the "D" to come up with something similar.


The gift fumble is always appreciated, and Christmas has come early for the Saints! (Sorry, I couldn't resist.) At least the defense figured out a way to come up with some kind of big play ... Now Bush gets his turn and bursts through the middle for a nice touchdown run. The middle of the line is doing its job, no doubt. Saints 17, Bengals 3.

The linebackers have looked mostly good, especially on the drive. Cinci just can't get anything done on offense right now, and the Saints may have at least a little to do with that. I'll take an entire game of giving up only a field goal as a great sign.
