Game Blog: Saints vs. Bengals, 3rd Quarter

August 18, 2007 8:18PM With the third quarter getting started, it's time to really start looking at the backup and fringe guys. With that in mind, I'm curious to see who's going to make themselves stand out at wide receiver, defensive back and of course quarterback. The offense didn't do a whole lot to start things off, and now we get to see Fred Thomas getting beat for a completion. Bless his heart, because the fanbase has turned on him, but he has been having trouble for some time now. It would be great to see him do well, though I'm not holding my breath ... Man, that was one heck of a preseason play. The snap was ugly, the roll was ugly, the protection was ugly, and the fumble was ugly. Congrats to the Saints defender who acted as the grenade jumper and ended that thing by jumping on the quarterback. Game Blog: Saints vs. Bengals, 3rd Quarter - David Gladow - New Orleans Sports |
