this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I haven't heard much out of him, thus far. Does anyone have news or a take on his performance? He didn't impress in the HOF game, but I haven't seen the last P.S. Game....

Re: Jason David - Progress
I read somewhere that they thought David looked like a Cover-2 corner playing in a new scheme. I also read that David was never a fit in Indy because he's a man to man corner playing in a Cover-2 scheme.
In any case, they guy is 24 and has 3 years starting experience in the league along with 3 years of playoff experience and a ring. Coupled with the return of Harper to the field, and I doubt we'll see the same type of Freddie "GameShow" Thomas highlight reels that we saw last year. The defense only has to learn not to consistently give up the big play. If they can gel enough to get off the field (ideally with a turnover), they'll be fine. SFIAH |

Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good. |

Re: Jason David - Progress
After last years blow up at CB. The rotation is better with him and the picks.
Remember one thing gang: The secondary takes the most time to gell. There is more timing here than any other unit, followed by the OL. Alot of field to cover. They have to learn each others speeds and quickness. They also have to mesh with the LB. With that said think of all the new faces we have. Give them Time. We may get lucky and they pull off coming together as quickly as the OL did last year. The OL still had a ways to go at the end of the year too. |
