The Beagles...genius.

Totter is only 30 and still produces at a high level. I'd love to see him on the team, but I'm not sure there's any room in the inn, as they say.

Sign him period! He's better than anything we've got. Damn the cost. He could be the lost piece we've been looking for in our quest for the Super Bowl. Name one linebacker we have thats better than him......and include all of them.

The more I think about it the more I'm really getting lathered up about this. We need Trotter. The guy is a leader on the field with a serious nasty streak. Obviously he helps with the run, too.

Is it just too story-book to work? A budding rivalry, dominated last season by the Saints, a jaded superstar unceremoniously cut, now with a chance at revenge, redemption and that long sought glory?

Eagles release middle linebacker Trotter

Eagles released LB Jeremiah Trotter.

Trotter's knee troubles sapped his effectiveness last season and he apparently didn't make much progress in camp. If Trotter was Trotter of two years ago, I would love to have him on this team. He's not the same guy and I doubt he'd want to come here and backup both Simoneau and Simmons. I think I'm going to be in the minority here.
