Re: All in All!!!
I know people have us in the playoffs with out even so much as playing a down yet.

Re: All in All!!!
Offense drops off a bit, some areas in the defense still not where we need it to be.
8-8 at worst, 10-6 at best. |

I too would kinda like to see the season played before I start wondering where we're going to finish. Yes, I think we have a chance to go deep into the playoffs, but that's a long time from now and many things can happen in that time. It's great to speculate but you have to remember that that is exactly what it is. I think this is the most talented team the Saints have ever mustered. As long as the injury bug doesn't hit us hard we have a chance. Of course there are a multitude of other things that can effect the outcome of the season. So I plan to sit back and enjoy the season, hope they kick butt on everyone they face and win the Super Bowl, but that's a long way off. Enjoy!!!!!! |

I can't help but think that every coach, every general manager, and every player will be watching this game and come away thinking that they would hate to play the Saints offense. That said, any given Sunday (in this case Thursday) any team can win. So I'm worried about every team that the Saints play this year. This is a good team but is an injury away from a bad season. |

Welcome to the board. While everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion, it would be helpful to back up those opinions with some justification. I fail to see why the offense would drop off this season. I think the Saints offense will actually be better than their NFL leading offense of a year ago. Three reasons: stability, health, and opposition. Stability: The backfield and OL are back intact. Brown, Stinchcomb, and Evans who each were starting for the first time at their respective positions are back a year stronger and a year wiser. Reggie looks like he's finally learning how to run in the NFL. The only substative change is Johnson at the TE position. A guy who was a superior receiver for SF just two years ago. Coach Payton is still at the helm of and explosive offense and Henderson seems to have finally grabbed that #2 WR position. Health: Brees and Deuce were both coming of significant injuries last year. The knee injury that Deuce suffered usually takes 18 months to completely heal while Brees was coming off a severely injured shoulder. No such problems this year. Opposition: The Saints offense struggled against superior defenses last season. The Saints will most likely be facing only three such defenses this season (Chicago, Jacksonville, Carolina) I posit that the Saints will be the #1 offense in every major offensive category except for maybe rushing offense. Re: All in All!!!
Indy and Chicago worry me as well. Can't forget who is 06 Superbowl champs; and we all know what happened the last time we went to Chicago in the snow. But, I, too am SOOOOO hopeful!!

only I don't see us loosing to Philly I see us loosing to either the first (INDY and no it's not that I think they are a better team it's just that I think mistakes could plague us because truthfully if we don’t make any mistakes I see us beating INDY) or the last game of the season (Chicago) |
