Here we go AGAIN............
Cowboys owner: NFL eyes relocation for L.A.
more speculation! Jerry Jones wanted to make it clear: He was not speaking on behalf of Vikings owner Zygi Wilf, he said. But the Dallas Cowboys owner said before Thursday night's exhibition game at the Metrodome that the NFL is not thinking in terms of expansion for Los Angeles but relocation of an existing franchise. Jones should know. He's on the committee seeking to acquire an NFL team for Los Angeles. "I don't see us expanding in Los Angeles," he said. Jones said of the Vikings, "There is a lot of history (in Minnesota), and we need to be here. By the same token, there is a need for public-private ownership." The Vikings' Metrodome lease expires after the 2011 season. The Vikings are seeking a public financial partner for a proposed $954 million retractable roof stadium, but none is in sight, especially considering the political climate after the Interstate 35W bridge collapse. As for relocation to Los Angeles, the Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers and New Orleans Saints also have stadium issues and leases that expire near the same time as the Vikings'. Re: Here we go AGAIN............
Haven't we all learned already... Los Angeles is the only reall bargining chip the NFL has about trying to either get a better deal for one of its teams or stadium. Every year, every negociation same thing Los Angeles. They want new blood in LA if they are going to put a team in here that is the only way that is going to work.

Re: Here we go AGAIN............
I lived here for nearly 2 years now and these people are perfectly content not having an NFL team here. Lets see we have USC here (not NFL but hell they are that good). There is a big Raiders following and if not the Raiders the Chargers, not so many 49er fans, thank god. They are perfectly fine cheering on the Saints and believe me therea are a number of them out here lately, they don't feel they need a team in our own back yard. Hell I think the Lakers will still be the bigger draw here than any NFL team here. I don't like the Lakers.

Re: Here we go AGAIN............
They have tried and failed twice in LA. Don't see it happening with a current team. Saints will not be moving especially after their win in Glendale, Az next Febuary..
