Well...
Our first true test will be the Seahawks in the first game of the reguler season. If we have a great game against them, I that would be great. It will be hard but If we can stop Shawn Alexanter than we know we have a good defense. I can\'t wait for the season to start, I\'m going crazy waiting. |

I give those power rankings a thumbs up. I was expecting something in the high teens. I guess we might be getting a little respect...it\'s about time.

me and this guy can get along! This is about where I see the saints at the start of camp. I don\'t wan\'t to call it a surprise but i do think the defense will prevail this year and the offense will be most intimidating.
The ofeense will be able to implement new plays like the SCREEN while rejuvinating last years O. |

The recognition was overdue. For years Saints teams seems to always be overlooked. Call it lack of respect or whatever you want but truth is the Saints never have, in the past, stepped up to the elite level of playoff winners. I feel this is the year where they do it and go past the first round of the playoffs.
FWtex brings up the screen pass again. This was a major achilies heel for us last year both offensively and defensively. Hopefully this is something that is going to be worked on extensively during training camp this year. If anyone attends training camp and can report on this please advise us all. The Saints made improvements in speed and depth without question. Did we really get alot of improvement from a talent standpoint? Only time will answer that question. I believe we got better on offense with the additions of Cromwell and Bouman. As for Defense I believe we did improve but not sure as to just how much. I know we got faster and deeper but I am still concerned with our LB\'s and our pass rush. I\'m still more optimistic than this reads though. |

Come on BC you remember Cromwell ,the Lord Protector of England. His brillant stragety and leadership skills will be a wonderful asset to the team, of course the fact that he has been dead for over 300 years might be a bit of a problem.

#6 sounds like a great point to start, but I also agree that a lot depends on the play of AB.
Also, watch out for the Chargers this year. I think this ranking may not be giving them enough credit. |

Yea, Nolan Cromwell from the Rams he was one of the best defensive players in the league in the early 80\'s he was a safety. Went to a few pro bowls and I think he was defensive player of the year once too.
