Don't lay all the blame on the Corners
Yes, JD had a bad game, but I don't lay all the blame on him (Mckenzie got burned too, he just didn't give up a td). Where was our vaunted Pass rush? 0 sacks and Peyton seemed to have all day to make some of those deep throws. I said it in the chat room last night and I'll say it again the biggest problem I saw was the play of simmeneau, where was his head last night? He couldn't make a play or a tackle. He was lousy in coverage and his run D Blew big time (I thought we signed a new MLB during FA, If he can't win the job its gonna be a long season against the run) Our safeties had to play run support, and left the corners to fend for themselves. I would have loved to see harper or bullocks in the area of those deep balls to put a licking on those receivers, to deflect, our better yet to Intercept those passes. I thought the focus in Training camp was to get after the ball, deflect, and Intercept more, Well if the Safeties have to support the D-line and Lb's in run support then we can expect to see our corners burned routinely!!!

Yes, Simoneau stunk it up again. Shanlee's not much better. Fujita seems to be calling the plays now. We need some new blood at LB

I don't think anyone is putting the blame on the corners at all. I think the wise people all know that the blame goes all around. We sucked from top to bottom and all around last night. Minus a couple of highlights.

Correct Euph, as I tell the 5th graders I coach, it's a team game, when one screws up we all screw up. Wins are on the team, losses are on the coach.

We stunk on both sides of the ball ! Paytons pre game comments about Brees going 28 for 30 also tell me that not only have a lot of us fans bought into the hype.... but so have the coahing staff.
