Keep your heads up.
So Indy dominated our beloved Saints. This past week I sat back and read all the threads in disbelief. I could not believe some of the things that I read. One game into the season some were calling for S. Payton's job, and some wanting to trade Duece. Have we lost our minds here? We cannot allow ourselves to lose focus . Are we going to let a loss change our minds and destroy our confidence? No way in hell am I going to let this one loss or any loss change my mind about how good our team is. Good teams lose...period. We lost to the Skins last year with the same kind of performance that we put on last Monday. Where did we end up? To all the new found fans from last years season hang in there with us. While some of you have a year under your belts there are those of us who have invested decades with pure determination following a team that has made us laugh, cry, hide, and overindulge in adult beverages. A trip to the division championship game does not make us elite. I took Philly three tries. You have to beat the Elite to be considered elite. Plain and simple. We as a team have not earned a thing other than a division championship. The eye is on the prize but it will not come easy. And it will deffinately not come if fans give up on our team. Our success last season doesnt mean anything this season. Negative posts are not only read by us but we have visitors fans from other teams and even an occasional player or coach. Imagine what kind of fans they think we are after reading some of these posts. I know not everyone will agree with me and I know that you find these same posts on other fan sites. But after the first game? I for one dont want to be labeled as a fairweather fan that is only happy when we are winning. I deffinately want Saints fans to be considered loyal and steadfast. Keep your heads up and dont let one loss ruin our season hopes.

It's hard to be a Saints fan and not have a short memory. The feeding started last week and we're still standing in the line. I'm hungry!...and hope I get my fill this week.

Re: Keep your heads up.
I think you might have those past threads wrong, no one on this forum is giving up on our boys. We are looking forward to the Bucs game, and anxiously awaiting victory my friend. I too have been a Saints fan from dam near day one, and will always be a Saints fan, PERIOD! And by the way, I never, ever wore a bag, now that's bleeding BLACK & GOLD.
