Tennessee Titans at New Orleans Saints, ESPN, 8:30 p.m. ET

New Orleans: Bush or McAllister?

Surprisingly, Reggie Bush has 22 carries while Deuce McAllister has just 20 this season. What the Saints need to do is use Bush on outside runs and/or as a decoy to soften the middle of the defense and then pound McAllister inside.

Tennessee Spread Option

The Tennessee spread option really plays to Titans QB Vince Young's strengths. He ran this play with great success in college at Texas and he's done well with it in the NFL as well. It not only forces the defense to contain Young, which obviously isn't easy to do, but it also allows Young to read the defense and make a play running or passing.

Running Bush to the outside and Big Mac on the inside is EXACTLY what they did not want to do this year...That will definatly make us predictable.

White and Bush will try to out do each other, I just hope Bush keeps his cool and focuses on his holes and breaks a few big plays...

Bush-22 carries and Duece-20. Compare that to last years numbers and you'll see where our success went. I have yet to understand how a back averages 4.2 and can't get his hands on the ball. So a couple got away from him last week...it happens. I keep hearing about "having to" abandon the run once we get behind 14, 21...what we have been looking at the last two weeks is panic football - going to a two minute offense with 2+ quarters to go. We don't have to get it back all at once. We can take our time, rest the defense, march methodically down the field and score. Lord knows our defense has needed the rest. We can continue our current path of teasing Duece with only 10 carries (and get what we've been getting), or load him up and let's ride. Brees poor play will drastically improve once Duece's success takes the pressure off of him. The offensive success will then take the pressure off of the defence, and everyone will relax and play the kind of ball the SaintNation has been looking for.
