Re: Season is not over!!!!!!!!!!
I'm with you Hagan. Even if we win the divsion ugly, we are in. Once the playoff starts, it is a whole new one game season from week to week. To do it though, things will have to change. We have a week off...don't know if that is good or bad. Great for Duece to get healthy, the rest we'll have to wait and see.

Re: Season is not over!!!!!!!!!!
Season not over? Yes, technically you are right. There are 13 games left to play. But lets get real. An offense that cannot score many points, and a defense that gives up too many points. I know it's still considered early, but let me tell you, my friend, this is a bad team. The Saints have been blown out in every game now. The 2007 team is horrible. It will only get worse. Once a team gets blown out 3 games in a row to start a season, everything goes down hill.
How do you see this team still winning the division? Ok, if the Saints would have played three close ones then I would say maybe. But the fact the Saints have been blown out in three straight leads my thinking more towards who will they draft with a top 3 pick. This Saints team is about a horrible as it gets. Even the Ditka teams played it a little closer at least during the start of the season. |

Re: Season is not over!!!!!!!!!!
No F-it. I am calling it -SEASON OVER-. Go through the motions develop players consider the rest of the season try-outs for players. Trade some waste of spaces and get us pics and LINEMAN. I am tired of saying it for 3 years now.

Re: Season is not over!!!!!!!!!!
No, because Brees is better than Brooks.
If Bress left the Saints, he would be starting for another team shortly...and would be successful at it. Aaron Brooks couldn't even hold a starting job QB'ing for the Raiders. He got beat out by Quarterbacks that aren't even good enough to be 2nd stringers. Even Bobby Hebert said it, Peyton Manning couldn't do crap with this Saints offense. Our receivers can't catch and NOT A DAMN PERSON ON THE TEAM CAN THROW A BLOCK. Our special teams unit is the worse I've ever seen. It's like watching water run through gravel. People in the dome were like "Reg-gie! Reg-gie!" And, all I could do was . "Throw a block! Throw a block!" I had said this on this board before and I'll say it again. We need extended practices and they need to go through passing and blocking drills. ****, let's take them back to junior varsity and reteach them some fundementals. I'd have them constantly catch wildly thrown footballs for 3-hours until they learn how to catch a football with their body slightly contorted... and just catch in general. All wide receivers, runningbacks, corners, linebackers, and safeties should have to go through it. And, EVERYONE on the team needs a lot of practice blocking. There's never any YAC because there's never any blocking downfield, Brees is constantly pressured, we have no running game, and our kick/punt returners have a wall of defenders infront of their face before they catch the ball. While that may have seemed like a joke before, catching and blocking drills for extra hours during every practice doesn't seem that far fetched to actually get this team back on track. |

Re: Season is not over!!!!!!!!!!
So when they played like this in 2005, it was Aaron's fault, but now it is the offense's fault? I believe that it was the offense's fault when Aaron was here too. And I still say that Brees is playing worst than any QB in the league.

Re: Season is not over!!!!!!!!!!
Brees looks horrible. His arm strength is really showing up as a weakness this year. He is a better Quarterback than Brooks; but Brooks had a superior arm.

Re: Season is not over!!!!!!!!!!
I know it is a big drop from superbowl to the division title. But heck maybe everyone jumped the gun there. Tampa is an injury away from folding. Lets pray. LOL. So we have now given up on everything? We can always go back to the happiness of winning season is good enough. Or maybe an 8-8 were we can sit and not be mad or happy. No more losses in the division is the goal.
