Crazy thought???
Chances are Ricky Williams is going to be reinstated in October, and more than likely immediately released by the Dolphins. If the season has a chance of being salvaged at that point, maybe the Saints should consider signing him for the rest of the year. With Deuce out for the year, maybe this move would make some sense. I don't know if Reggie Bush is a 20-25 per carry type of guy, and I pretty much know Aaron Stecker is not, at least for a long stretch.
Well, like the title says, "Crazy thought???" |

Re: Crazy thought???
Pretty damn crazy... but Ricky did tote the rock about 30 times a game it seems. I don't see it happening.

Re: Crazy thought???
Ya know, I forgot about ole Ricky, but ya know what, I like the idea, too. Not sure how effective he will be though, but what we got to lose. But as noted, I dont see it happening either. Know who I DO like and I wish he gets another NFL shot? Jarett Payton. yes, son of Sweetness. Had brief NFL shot with the Titans, but did well in NFL Europe and is now a beast in the CFL. At 6-1, 225, he's a load , especially for smaller CFL LBs I admit, but he needs a shot. CFL is only 3-down football but they still give him the ball quite often especially as of late. CFL season wont end for at least another month and prob longer with playoffs, but next season, he deserves a shot. His current CFL bio and stats are below.

Re: Crazy thought???
I like the idea also. He would make a great short yardage back for us. I mean he hasn't played much football so he should have plenty of gas left in the tank.

Re: Crazy thought???
I didn't even finish reading this. All it took was, "Chances are Ricky Williams". This is a guy who can not put down a joint, bong or blunt. Does it affect his play? YES, he is not playing now. Ricky is too big of a risk to take. Who says he is going to pass another drug test, IF the NFL lets him back in? Ricky Williams? Ricky Williams? Is this what we are left to stoop to? Ricky Williams my big ole' butt.

Re: Crazy thought???
I like the idea just so I can start wearing my $250 authentic Ricky Williams jersey again. What a waste of money that was.

I think we should let Pierre Thomas have his chance before bringing in Ricky

Re: Crazy thought???
Unless you're talking about putting Ricky in at RT, then no thanks.
