Antione Winfeild
On Fox Sports There Is A Rumor Of Antione Winfeild Might Be Traded Thats The Guy I Want On The Other Side Of M.mckenzie. I Watch This Guy Play At Ohio State And He Is A Never Say Die Kind Of Guy. I Dont Care About Next Years Draft Picks Because This Guy Is Young And Give Them What Ever They Want For Him Within Reason. He Is A Little To Small But So Is Bob Sanders For Indy And That Would Be A Nice Comparison. He Is Better Than Mckenzie Also But That A Nice One Two Punch With The Corners. We Are Not Going To Stop Anybody When They Can Get What Ever They Need On Passing Downs. Give Me Some Feedback On This. Also I Have Asked All You Saints Fans Out There About Rumors. Have You Heard Anything Please Post Something.

Not a bad addition but he would go straight to the active rooster if I am not mistaken.
Go PS and look at these two FA Dee McCann - 5'11", 200 CB - West Virginia Rookie Yr: 2006 Detroit Lions sixth-round draft pick Gil Brandt, of NFL.com, reports West Virginia CB Alton McCann measured a height of 5-10 7/8 and a weight of 195 pounds at his Pro Day. He ran the 40-yard dash with times of 4.52 seconds and 4.54 seconds while finishing the short shuttle in 4.10 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.05 seconds. He measured a 42 1/2-inch vertical jump and a 0-foot-7 broad jump while completing 12 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press. CB DeMario Minter Cleveland fifth-round pick NFL | D. Minter Pro Day results Fri, 24 Mar 2006 19:37:53 -0800 Gil Brandt, of NFL.com, reports Georgia DB DeMario Minter measured 5-11 ¼ and weighed 185 pounds at his Pro Day workout Thursday, March 23. He ran his 40s in 4.48 and 4.53 seconds. He also ran the short shuttle in 4.32 and the long shuttle in 11.56. On the other tests, he stood on his NFL Combine performances. Minter is the interesting one IMO. He had his knee scoped and battled a foot injury in camp. He is worth the risk and put on the PS |

Re: Antione Winfeild
If the Vikings take a loss to the Packers at the Metrodome on Sunday into the ensuing bye week, it will be interesting whether they try to trade either cornerback Antoine Winfield or running back Chester Taylor for draft picks in the first three rounds in order to rebuild. Acquiring wideout Larry Fitzgerald Jr. from the Cardinals could make the Vikings relevant again.
http://www.twincities.com/walters/ci...nclick_check=1 There is the rest of the story. Rounds 1,2 or 3. What is he worth? myself I would look at Larry first. Colston at 2 and Fitz at 1. Throw in our #1 from last year an additional pick, even a 2nd. Deal done. Now I like that better. |

Re: Antione Winfeild
First off...there is no way Fitzgerald gets traded during the season. It just wont happen. Secondly, scouring the league for practice squad players to come in and make this defense good isnt going to happen. I am a fan of Winfield, but it reality, he will not get traded to the Saints during the season.
It is clear that the defense looks terrible this year due to the fact that our offense is never on the field. Its kind of hard to look good when the offense consistently goes 3 and out or turns the ball over. The team is completely out of sync and we dont have anyone on our offense not named Colston doing their job. So no CB or LB can come in here and cure that. |
It's all in the reflexes.

Re: Antione Winfeild
big time nfl trades never happen during the season, talking heads just spout out rumors just to get their names in the news and to drive people like us to their shows to bring up ratings. We can dream, but the real world reality is we pull someone from retirement, or a veteran who is past his prime and unsigned, or we just elevate from within and hope for the best!
