O-Line Play
Outstanding Article on O-Line Play v. TEN
Hope this hasn't been posted, but it's a great (and scary) read: http://www.footballoutsiders.com/200...y-counts/5531/ Last edited by mld530 : Today at 09:42 AM. |

Re: O-Line Play
Good post. You're right - excellent article. It concisely and accurately relays what many have been saying on this board. It uses solid incontestible facts, observations, and examples - very astute observations.

I've left out many names. Shouldn't the great Brooks beat out one of these quarterbacks? |
Re: O-Line Play
bye AB he is done here. Enough
The article was right. good find. We need some bigger and faster players at two position. Brown needs to go back to RT. Stinch maybe better at OG. Maybe Haz was right. I can not believe I typed that. We need to find out can our young OL play or not. Is Allman or future OG or is he, as his college coached said, better at C in the NFL. Is Bushrod able to do LT? That is a start. Oh when then game is out of control take Drew out then rotate the line. Put Palko back there to run for his life or take the pounding if it does not work out. Sorry that is the 3rd string QBs job. |
Re: O-Line Play
And this article leads to another point I've made...Why haven't the "Experts" noticed this? The Saints have played two nationally televised games out of their three losses and ESPN has a Poll asking who is responsible for the losses and the O-Line isn't even an option.
I don't watch a lot of Sportscenter, but I watch NFL live almost every day and they have yet as far as I know to point out the O-Line as the major contributor to the Saints' offense problems. That to me is scary since it is so obvious. They still want to talk about Brees and the play calling when it clearly doesn't matter what play is called since Brees won't have time to execute it. |
Re: O-Line Play
I remember when Archie Manning was playing with a poor O Line. He was more athletic than Brees. He took the snap and started running for his life, fortunately he threw pretty well on the run. I will say it agin, I am rela glad we don't have to see Hatynesworth again, he is an animal.
