Mistake: noun 1. an error in action, calculation, opinion, or judgment caused by poor reasoning, carelessness, insufficient knowledge, etc. 2. a misunderstanding or misconception. –verb (used with object) 3. to regard or identify wrongly as something or someone else: I mistook him for the mayor. 4. to understand, interpret, or evaluate wrongly; misunderstand; misinterpret. –verb (used without object) 5. to be in error. therefore, if someone says that we selected the "wrong" guy for our team, I would opine that they are saying we were "in error", or have committed "an error in action, calculation, opinion, judgement...et al." - i.e. they think it was a mistake to draft Reggie. |

I DON'T care if he scores 2 TD's you can tune in and watch him do that every week if you like but as we rack up numbers in the lost column I am not ok with that!!!!
0-3 and 10-9 in regular season so for. |
Re: Is Reggie Bush the New Tony Mandarich?
Euph, where did I say that you called Reggie a bust. I never said that! You should take some of your own medicine and not put words in my mouth. The only thing directed to you was that I understand you wanting to build an o-line but D'Brick has been absolutely HORRIBLE and Reggie was the right pick. Anything after that was me ranting about D'Brick and the clown who wrote the article.
And, FYI, the jets offense is ranked 28th, we're ranked 25 this year. The jets offense is horrible and D'Brick isn't doing anything to help them. Mangold was a good pick for them but D'Brick has been a huge bust. I agree that you need a solid o and d-line to win championships but our o-line was good last year and D'Brick wouldn't be starting on this team. |
Re: Is Reggie Bush the New Tony Mandarich?

As you well know Pro football is the ultimate team game. It's impossible for a single player to singlehandedly win games. It both proves your point and refutes it at the same time. The Saints need a consistent offensive line to be successful. Of course you draft for that. But by the same token when you have a special skill player, you can't afford to pass that player up either. There will be another tackle in the draft this year, and the year after that and the year after that. 5 years from now though Bush will probably be in the ballpark of LT and Sander. Those players do not come along in the draft every year, or even every other year. Also as much as we probably both as much hate to admit it, it is in fact about more than wins and losses. If we had passed on Bush it would have been a PR disaster for the team. SFIAH |
Re: Is Reggie Bush the New Tony Mandarich?
Those guys aren't the top linemen... you wanna settle for mediocre lines and get blasted by top DL. Ok welcome to 0-3 You take a 2-3years and draft first rate - first round linemen. You'll be in more games than not. The game is ment to be played in the trenches.
I mean after all we are doing your way and we are 0-3. |
