My dream team
My dream team would consist of 5 pro bowl offensive linemen. These boys would eat raw meat on the sidelines and bench press each other during tv timeouts. Not only would they go out during the week for a meal they would babysit each others kids, true trust, boy would they play like a team. Hell I would go after 2 pro bowl alternates to sit on the bench because injuries happen.
Here is how I would like the stats to look: The qb is averaging 15 seconds per incomplete pass. The wr forgets the play runnin from the huddle but after runnin around for 10 seconds he gets open and drops the ball. The rb has such a great hole he fumbled 3 times before a defender was close enough to recover it. What about defense you cant have a great o-line and forget about the d-line that is where all great teams win wars in the trenches. The stats for my defense would be record breaking:Against the run I'm giving up 22 yards per game(exactly what the 4-0 packers are gittin on offense). But against the pass the qb has exactly 2 seconds to lob the ball over my dt (who stands 6'6 and is 380 lbs) and get by my out of place lb, who then outruns my slow cb, and then lays a hit on my safety who doesn't really like to get hit anyway. I'm givin up alot of 2 yard passes that go for 80 yards but you can take it to the bank nobody and I mean nobody is goin to run on me. |

Re: My dream team
My bad. After readin in every thread that the biggest problem with this team was the o-line I thought I would show with a little sarcasim that it takes a whole team to be succesful in football. I dont think any one position is more important than another except qb. What good is blockin if your rb doesn't hit the hole without tryin to dance? What good is havin the protection for your qb if your wr don't catch? What good is havin a great d-line if everyone else on the defense sux and can't tackle? Three games into the season and we talk about drafts and wait till next year I don't think it is over. With the same core team that gave us our best season ever. With the same o-line that was on the best offense in NFL last year how is that a fluke? How over a 16 game schedule are you #1 out of 32 teams and suddenly we need to rebuild from scratch? Not havin duece is goin to suck he is my favorite Saint(good ol mississippi boy) but maybe now Payton will realize we need some new plays or at least run the old ones in some sort of random order(run on 1st, screen to bush on 2nd, pass on 3rd, punt). I am lookin forward to seein if we could utilize bush and Thomas at the same time cuz I still don't understand why we hardly ever saw bush and duece.

Re: My dream team
My dream team would be to take the original Tecmo Bowl Raiders, and make them all 2007 Saints. Now that would be a team that no body could beat... LOL
