Payton asks for fan pacing
Posted by Jimmy Smith, Staff writer,
The Times-Picayune October 05, 2007 Sean Payton said Friday he was hopeful that Saints fans weren't too worn out on Sunday morning from their expected Saturday-night revelry as the No. 1 ranked LSU football team takes on No. 9 Florida at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge. "We're a little worried that Saturday night is going to take a lot of out them," Payton said, smiling. "Hopefully they'll be up early and be ready to go." This is the first Sunday noon-time start, since the regular-season home opener came on a Monday night. "We need this home field advantage and we need what they give us, not just in the first quarter but throughout the game. So that will be important." How about at least putting forth an effort? Go out there with an attitude. Fans have to put forth an effort to pay for tickets or in my case Sunday ticket, they have to put forth an effort to get to the game. Is it to much to ask for this team to put forth an effort to win? The last three games looked to me like there wasn't much effort.

LSU wins AGAIN! 28-24. Watching LSU has made it tough to watch the Saints. Sleep great on Saturday night - then get sucked dry on Sunday afternoon...and on Monday night...and on Thursday night. Let's kidnap Les and the boys and dress them up in Black and Gold. I hope Sean realizes that he needs to give the fans a better show. We pay in hopes of the thrill of victory. All we've gotten so far is pure agony from the O and the D. We want to jump and scream and PROUDLY display the colors - Sean, give us something to cheer about.

Re: Payton asks for fan pacing
Can we just sneak the LSU football team into Saints jerseys, and give every single Saint besides Lance Moore and Mike Karney the day off.
Tell em to watch a real football team play the game. |
