The biggest problem with this crappy start is that we're right back to square one. Who wants to come play in New Orleans now? I think the iron was at it's hottest this past offseason and we struck on KK, Simmons, Mare, Clancy and David when AT, Dre Bly, Samuel, Briggs and some other impact defensive players were out there. Hell, even Moss was on the "clearance rack". Maybe those guys weren't all feasible - especially the frachise tag-ees - but I would have liked to see the FO at least bring them in for a meeting.

Re: Is it true?!?!?
I heard that there are over twenty player's on Saints drive auditioning for the Saints, I don't know for what positions, but from the way they have been playing, you can bet there's a few WRs, RBs, LBs, Linemen O and D, we all ready know there's a bunch of kickers. At lest he's trying to fix his mistakes instead of pretending they don't exist.

Re: Is it true?!?!?
ok good point
I didn't think about that before I made that post so I recant that statement but I just for the life of me can't understand why last season our O line may not have been the best around but it was still solid but this season I just want to cry when I watch them play I feel like the guy that put the girl way high up on that pedestal… Only to watch her fall flat on her face because I didn't take the time to sure up the legs I truly want to see the team play better than this Personally I don’t care if the rest of the season is a bust I just want to see my team play as a team |

It was just a matter of time until they came back to earth. In fact if you go back and look at games we lost last year we were blown out or lost by teams that had good/great lines. 10-6 is good but isn't great??? I don't think so. 2 games and we were going to be at .500 ball. The problem has existed for years now and it wasn't so obvious that it was a weakness last year but it was. People tend to just point the finger at the key guys instead of watching the game and evaluating all the players performance. Do me a favor during the next Saints game keep your eye on Jeff Faine, see when he HITS a defender or just stands in the way, or when he just moves out of the way from someone hitting him, or how about when he is watching the game instead of going to lay a hit on someone. |

Re: Is it true?!?!?
If you ask me what's wrong with our offense, I think it's pretty simple. The problem as I see it is timing. It's just plain off. It's off for the line, Drew, Reggie the receivers, everyone. The timing is just not there. Routes are wrong, Reggie hits the hole to fast and Drew throws the ball in front of or behind the receivers. When your timings off it messes up every thing. How do you fix it? Practice, practice, practice.
As I said in another thread, you don't go from the number 1 offense in the league to close to the bottom (with the same players) without an elemental problem. As i see it, it's timing. Just my opinion. |
