Comment from Tebucky on Dale Carter
It seems all is right in the world again with the start of football season here. The Saints offense looks great and the special teams as well. I just watched 4 down on 4, where Tebucky was asked how this secondary compared to the one he was on. Tebucky said Dale Carter jumped on a route by Joe Horn without even looking and he said he had never seen anything like that in his life.
Several observers also commented about the talent and speed on the denfensive side of the ball. While it has only been two days in camp the defense definatly sounds very promising. Everyone that has watched Dale Carter says he looks like the Dale Carter of old. This is great news to me, I was concerned about age catching up with him. Also a few Saints players were asked what player they thought would have a breakout year. The players mentioned were: Kenny Smith, Charles Grant, and Le Charles Bentley. Comment from Tebucky on Dale Carter
Comments from Dale Carter included him saying he intended to take on a leadership role on the team this year and with what he has been through he can share the on the field experiences and the off the field experiences with the younger guys for guidance. He also said he is comfortable on the island by himself playing man to man and is in the best shape of his carreer. He thinks the secondary will be talented and improved this year with more depth as a unit.
