Newly acquired DT says New Orleans is 'place for me to be'
Monday July 28, 2003 By Jeff Duncan Staff writer Before he signed with the Saints on Sunday, Henry Ford was unaware of the club's unstable situation at defensive tackle. "I really didn't know any of that until the day before I was supposed to drive down (from Dallas)," Ford said before his day of practice. "That wasn't a concern of mine. "The conversations I had with Coach (Jim) Haslett were the smoothest I had with any coach. I got a good feel for him over the phone.
