Palko waived, Mitchell signed

I'm not sure if anyone posted this but I was reading on the transaction page for the New Orleans Saints and came across this..

New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced Sunday that the club has signed linebacker Marvin Mitchell to the active roster and waived quarterback Tyler Palko.

so by my counts that puts us at only 2 QB's
Drew Brees & Jamie Martin
I know we are in desperate times here but I don't know if I like the idea of only 2 QB’s

We only carried 2 QBs all of last year.

I figure if in the unlikely event that both guys go down in a game, there must be a package which consists of a direct snap directly to the RB.

Does anyone know if any of our active players other than Brees and Martin have even QBed at the college level?

They resigned Palko yesterday. They also resigned Branch.

ok let me rephrase that...

I know we are in desperate times here but I don't know if I like the idea of only 2 QB’s considering the lack of effort from the "O" line

I mean it would seam to me that if people are getting pressure on your QB
then it's only a matter of time before someone puts a big hit on him
and in my mind that pushes the injury factor up quite a bit, if you know what I mean
