SPARTANBURG - Carolina Panthers defensive tackle Brentson Buckner spent Sunday verbally slapping Warren Sapp and his Tampa Bay linemates on the sides of their Super Bowl-winning helmets.

Later, though, Sapp slapped back.

Carolina defensive tackle Kris Jenkins is better than Sapp, Buckner said.

And man-for-man, he would take the Panthers' defensive line over the NFL champions' unit.

"Sapp is good at what he does; he's a pass-rushing defensive tackle," Buckner said, referring to the Bucs' six-time Pro Bowler. "But Jenks is a pass rusher, he's a run-stopper; you're getting the whole package with him.

"He could be special; he could revolutionize the position."
