this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I hate playing teams that have "nothing to lose". Coming in as the clear under-dog, I think Atlanta on defense will bring the blitz on every snap and try to hurry Brees into a mistake. On offense I think Atlanta ...

I hate playing teams that have "nothing to lose".
Coming in as the clear under-dog, I think Atlanta on defense will bring the blitz on every snap and try to hurry Brees into a mistake. On offense I think Atlanta will start Byron and test the deep ball on the Saints secondary early and often.

#1, Saints must protect the ball. I expect Atlanta to make extra efforts to rip the ball.(especially from Reggie). Drew must pick up the blitz and make sure he has a quick release plan to one of the backs or receivers. Keep Karney on the field to pick up the blitz and open holes for Reggie. The Reggie/Karney run game worked last week, try it again. I look for Pierre Thomas to get some carries and make a few highlight reels.

I think the Saints playing with confidence in the dome will be too much for whatever Atlanta brings.

Saints don't have anything to lose either but I'll say that the Saints will win due to a very bad Falcons pass defense (28th ranked) and how well our offense and defense played last week, if our OL plays good again it will be a long afternoon for the Falcons.
