The Colts might have done us a favor
Dwight Freeney took out David Gerrard last night and it looks like he might miss a couple of weeks with a high ankle sprain. This helps us and hurts us because we play Jax in two weeks at home, but Tampa plays them next week. Jax looked horrible with there backup Grant in. This game is imminently more winnable now. If Gerrard is out I think we are looking 4-4 right in the face.

Re: The Colts might have done us a favor
Our chances definately look better now but we cannot afford to overlook Taylor, Jones-Drew, Jones, and their stout defense.
Hopefully our offense can get into some type of groove coming into that game. |

Our rush defense has been pretty good. Jags back up Qb sucks so we should pressure him all game.

Gray's pretty mobile and I don't think we should overlook him either. That's when you get bit in the arse.

Re: The Colts might have done us a favor
Totally agree! If we win because of other teams tempory weaknesses then the franchise will never evaluate the talent (or lack there of) on this team. We wasted the offseason with our talent selections. Whereas a team like NE who could have stood pat went out and gave itself a real chance to win.
We are just a very poorly managed franchise... |

Re: The Colts might have done us a favor
Man,
I'm happy that Garrard and possible Jones-Drew are out for a couple of weeks or at least won't be 100%. We need to win to improve our record and bring some swagger back to the team. We need to beat SF and we'll be 3-4. If we can play the Jags with on Fred Taylor to worry about that's fine with me. Beating the Jags without those 2 would be huge for the morale of the team. The defense is still very serious and we'll have to deal with that. |

No doubt! This team is scary. Our offense has to be running at 100% They can score with or without Gerrard, (maybe not that much, but they can score). Their defense can cause our offense some problems. This game is by no means a "gimmie".
