GREAT response!
I'm suprised about how much I knew about your team. I am going to admit I am fearful of Mckenzie, I know how much of a beast he is. Obviously Reggie is a big threat, I have yet to see him consistently run between the tackles though. But if he gets in the open field, I'm just gonna run the other way. For some reason, maybe I'll be wrong but I could see each team put up nothing more then 20 points or so. Defensive type game. Or maybe not even defensive, maybe the offense's being OFFENSIVE.(Although yours has played more up to par lately) Good luck to you all, I'll check back here periodically! P.S. As for your trade offer for Willis, I'll have to decline. |

Re: Niner Fan here
Great write-up on the Saints, WD. I would barely change a word, except:
1) to praise the defensive line a bit more for their last two performances. All four positions on the DL are getting pressure, which is a switch from early in the season; and, 2) to praise Mike McKenzie a bit more. I've noticed that either other teams try not to throw at him....or (more likely) his coverage skills are a lot better than is generally known and 'his' man is seldom open....or (even more likely) every other receiver for the 'other' team is MORE wide-open. |

Re: Niner Fan here
This is a very positive thread started all around.
A. Smith is a very good young QB and he does worry me some. Gore is a "beast", the Saints must stop him for us to have a chance in beating you guys. Losing Turner was very bad for the Niners, big loss to say the least.. Good luck this weekend to all of you in the west, it's always an interesting game between the two of us.. Great write up by the way, well put together and positive, most of the members here will appreciate the thread you started, count me in as one of them.. |
Rest In Peace JoeSam, thanks for everything my friend.

Re: Niner Fan here
This has been a good and civil thread. A lot of good information and I don't have any good information to add to it.
I will say that due to the long history of the 49ers treating the Saints poorly in the past I want a win from the Saints similar to last years win. It's not personal, Gelder. It's a reckoning. |

Re: Niner Fan here
What's with all this politically correct feel-good petting of each other's teams? I could deal without it, keep my dignity and just say this...I respect the 49ers, but may the best team win this Sunday. I fear no player, no team, no coach, no stadium. They're mortal, just like we are.
