Re: 7 of the next 10 games
I agree with you on the Saints ending the season at 11-5 but I have to tell you that 11-5 gets you in the playoffs very easy but to so many bad NFC teams.
Hell, the Cowboys would love to end with 11-5 which would be great for any NFC team this year... I think the lost we'll get will be within the NFC South, a couple of weeks ago I thought we could lose to Jacksonville but right now I think we can beat them. |

I think it possible to win the division still. Here is why. As you said the cards are falling right for us.

11-5 is going to be tough to pull off. I don't know if I see it or not. I sure would like to but........oh hell, maybe i've been a Saints fan to long.

Re: 7 of the next 10 games
I'm just going to be the voice of reason here because I don't want anybody here jumping out of windows if 11-5 doesn't happen. To get to 11-5 or even 10-6, the Saints are going to need an unprecedented recovery. You're talking about losing only 1 or 2 games out of the 12 remaining after they started 0-4.
I know we're all hyped that they've pulled off two straight wins and the teams listed do look beatable. The problem is that I seriously believe the Saints would have lost to the Falcons had Leftwitch not been injured and that even though we have two wins now we are still as beatable as those teams. I'm still holding out hope for 9-7. There's a decent enough chance that 9-7 will make the playoffs as a wildcard if you win the right tie-breakers. 10-6 is a near guarantee of making the playoffs. I think one team in recent history has gone 10-6 and missed out. 11-5 is a sure thing. I haven't looked it up, but I'd be shocked to find that a team with only 5 losses missed the playoffs under the current format. |

Re: 7 of the next 10 games
Wow. Are these some of the same fans that were tanking the 0-4 season three weeks ago?
A few of us would just be happy to hit .500. At 8-8, considering how this season started, it would be a monumental accomplishment. Now, speaking on the possibility...scratch that... fantasy of 11-5, I can't really hold out much hope of a 8-1 run, even if we had to play the Jets every week! Still 9-7 is a manageable goal. If we can somehow get some outside help and sweep the remainder of our division schedule, we just might pull off another playoff appearance. My two cents... |

Re: 7 of the next 10 games
IMO, with the schedule ahead of us and the QB problems those teams have, the saints have the potential to finish 10-6, maybe 11-5. but they also have the potential to finish 7-9! What they can't do (and us as fans as well) is believe we are better than other teams and expect to win the game. If we are better than the 10 teams we have to play, then we line up on the field and beat them! And, unfortunately, thinking about how banged up the other team is or how much better talent we have is not going to help the team get in that mindset.
