Keeping It Going
Monday, October 29, 2007
Saints quarterback Drew Brees continued a recent trend and was on the mark against the 49ers on Sunday in San Francisco: Date | Opp. | Result | Comp. | Passes | Yards | TDs | INTs Sept. 6 | Colts | L | 41-10 | 28 | 41 | 192 | 0 | 2 Sept. 16 | Bucs | L | 31-14 | 26 | 44 | 260 | 1 | 1 Sept. 24 | Titans | L | 31-14 | 29 | 45 | 225 | 0 | 4 Oct. 7 | Panthers | L | 16-13 | 29 | 47 | 252 | 0 | 2 Oct. 14 | Seahawks | W | 28-17 | 25 | 36 | 246 | 2 | 0 Oct. 21 | Falcons | W | 22-16 | 22 | 34 | 219 | 2 | 1 Oct. 28 | 49ers | W | 31-10 | 31 | 39 | 336 | 4 | 0 "There's a big difference when your Pro Bowl QB throws 1 TD and 9 INTs through the first four games, and turn it around to throw 8 TDs and 1 INT through the last three. I just hope we see a lot more of the Brees from the last three games, because if we do we have an excellent chance to win our division and make the playoffs, hell I've seen crazier things happen." |

I think they can do it
it's going to take a lot of hard work and determination but I think they can do it none the less |

Re: Keeping It Going
You know we were only 1 Olindo Mare 25 yard field goal from having a 4-3 record.
3-4 looks a whole lot worse than 4-3 for some reason. Yet, it's the same football team - we'll be okay. |

Re: Keeping It Going
or one less brees interception
or one crucial smith or grant sack or one reggie breakout run or one jason david defended pass you get the point we can't blame one player for any of those losses we lose as a team we win as a team its evident to me that this is the attitude of the saints no teammate was calling out another they all accepted defeat as a unit and i'm proud of them for it 3 - 4 we will overcome GO SAINTS! |

Re: Keeping It Going
Don't marginalize my reply, and don't get democratic.
Blaming someone is one thing. That's not what I'm doing. Expecting someone to take responsibility for their job and their mistakes, that's another. The fact remains, Mare's foot lost the Carolina game. Brees can't kick for 3, Bush can't kick for 3, Smith and Grant can't kick for 3, Jason David can't kick for 3 - don't insult my intelligence with this nonsense. We lost by 3, Mare missed two field goals earlier that game, it's not rocket science, and it's not some of the latest pep-rally teamwork jargon. Consider me offended. |

Re: Keeping It Going
WillMacKenzie - That Carolina game has the potential to bite the Saints on the ass in a big way. Should have won that one and it simply did not happen. That game could wind up being a huge issue later in the season if the Saints continue to turn their season around.
