Re: if and when we turn this around
It's way to early to start talking PB...but who cares?
Right now, Here's who I think have a shot: Brian Young - Quietly having a monster season. He's had a sack in each of the last three games. If he keeps up this pace, he's looking at 10 on the year from the DT position. It doesn't hurt to be on one of the top teams against the runs. Josh Bullocks - He's got 5 PDs, a pick and is 3rd on the team in tackles. If he continues to improve, he may have a shot at Hawai'i. Fuji - It will depend on how the rest of the OLBs in the NFC play, but it's easy to shine next to Shanle and Simoneau. Brown & Evans - If the Saints continue to not allow sacks, there better be a couple of guys from the O-Line at the PB. Jeff Faine - Made you look, Euphoria. |

Re: if and when we turn this around
Eric Johnson should be in some cideration for the Pro Bowl also. I was just browsing along and he is 3rd in the NFC in receptions for a tight end. Just 1 behind Shockey who happens to be off this week. The only problem is that he's only averaging just over 7 YPC and has only one TD. If he keeps this up he'll have over 60 rec. Not bad.

It is way too soon as the season is right around the half way point but Harper should be on the list. And I really, really like Scott Fujita. I sure hope that we see more Karney. He is a monster. I'm a homer but I think that Karney is one of the best FB's in the league. |

Re: if and when we turn this around
Karney IS one of the best in the league and is not getting quality minutes IMO. He is key to the running game, pass protection, and Eric Johnson being free in the middle. He can block, he can catch, he has a decent per carry avg, he can cook, he can clean...there is not much he doesn't do well.

Re: if and when we turn this around
I think the Brees started his turn around too late to be in contention. He is going against Favre, Romo, Garcia, and Manning JUST for a single spot on the Pro Bowl team, let's not even talk about League MVP, where he has another Manning and, oh, there's this kid called Tom Brady, I hear he is pretty good. I am much more interested in this team going to the playoffs as a team, and not for individual stats. Oh and speaking of this Brady kid, He wasn't even selected to play in the pro bowl last year. That must have just crushed his heart(For those who are clueless that was sarcasm.)
