Re: what if.......we were offered 2 first round picks for reggie?
NO. Our current situation needs Reggie's unique talents. We still don't know what the future holds and we KNOW what Reggie can do. Even if Duece comes back and is ready to bang, Reggie is still a great compliment. Even if Duece comes back healthy and ready to go, how much longer will he last? Let's lock Reggie and fill some of the other gaping holes we missed in our line up (like cover corners).

Re: what if.......we were offered 2 first round picks for reggie?
That's a tough question. I'd have to say that I would think about it if it were the #1 overall pick next year. I think DMac is going to be really good.
As for Purple Jesus, I think I might pass. He's awesome, but I still worry about that injury bug. One thing you gotta say about Reggie is that he is tough. I don't remember him ever having a significant injury. Deuce will come back, I just wonder if he will be the same back. If I were the FO, I would be looking at some late-round bruisers. That kid Dixon at Miss State is a thought. He leads the SEC in rushing TDs, he's 240lbs and can run, he does have a tendancey to put the ball on the turf, but so did a few other good backs. He could slide to the 3rd or 4th and be a good value pick. |

Get real. Reggie is fine and we are fine.

Simeaux and Thomas are they really professional ball players? Because if they are, it's very funny Sean Payton. |
Re: what if.......we were offered 2 first round picks for reggie?
I say yes because then we'll have 3 first round draft picks. Come on people... we could select a new left tackle, center, and defensive tackle with those picks. We've got to build our line somehow. We can't keep on using mid/low round draft picks on these positions. That's not how you build a team. Reggie Bush has never been a featured back and nor will he ever be. He's not built to carry the load or take the pounding. Trade his behind.
Prime example... let at the Jets when they selected D'Brick and Mangold. They clearly know what they're doing and are headed in the right direction. I'm not sure how much longer Jahari can overachieve at RG and Stinchcomb can last at RT... and we all know Faine blows. Hey I thought that was pretty funny. I got this thing down pat. ;) |

Sean Payton, it's his job to get the talent, yes, Colston is good and Jahri Evan, the saints picked before the Colt and New England, how come they can get theses rookies who can start, but the saints get the rookies, that you have to develop? That rookie, ugo, who went up against Will Smith did one good job against. See that's a difference in coaching, Dungy, put in players on the field and let them develope. With Sean Payton, they have to develop on the practice field, I think that's the difference between coaching styles.
Do blame 40 years of losing on Reggie Bush, when he was drafted, I saw his face, he wasn't happy. If Reggie Bush goes any place else, he would run wild. Okay, I'm going to let all the negative talk go, I want the Saints to win a Super bowl, and I want them to do it with Reggie Bush. Sean Payton, needs to draft in the Sec. |
Re: what if.......we were offered 2 first round picks for reggie?
This is the type of move that would hurt this team for years to come. No way does this happen for even 5 years worth of 1st round picks. This would be the biggest "bonehead" move of the century. If this would happen you would see this on ESPN's 5 Reason You CAN Blame New Orleans for trading Reggie Bush.
