hagan, where's the wheels?
i thought you of all people would be putting together a superbowl run with 2 # ones from another team including a top ten this yr, our own, and getting rid of a healthy duece for a 3rd maybe.......freeing up 10's of millions would not only get our newbies signed, but have some left over in free agency to make a bonafide effort to get us to the promised land.
what about trading our newly acquired 1st round pick for next yr to beef up the troops this yr as well? give me scenerios, dam it....................... |

Re: hagan, where's the wheels?
Who are we trading for a number 1? That is the question. We are not deep enough anywhere to do that. At this point I say we might need to trade our #1 to become solid at any one position on the field.
There is a rumor, that for some reason wont die, Larry Fitzgerald wants out of Arizona. The WR corp is looking for an identity and has yet to find it. They are young and Patten at 33 is not the guy. Age is the only knock against giving him the role. The trade would settle that position for years to come. This is the only trade I would make based on rumors. As for what happens with Henderson is the next question. He gets alot of money for not playing. He might get packaged up and shipped off if he reduces his salary. There are some good options at WR to replace him. Andre' Davis UFA Houston Texans Bernard Berrian UFA Chicago Bears Rashied Davis RFA Chicago Bears Patrick Crayton, UFA, Dallas Cowboys No true #1 are out there. Andre Davis is my key addition. Duce getting injured and going under the knife for the third time on those knees has caused me hold back on trading anything. There is one name in FA that jumps out to you, Michael Turner, UFA, San Diego Chargers. Then you have Jamal Lewis, UFA, Cleveland Browns Julius Jones, UFA, Dallas Cowboys Mewelde Moore UFA Minnesota Vikings Lets hope Turner and Drew have a strong bond if Duce does not come back. So with these two position unsettled I can not see us trading anyone for a #1. In my blog I talked about a few FA at other position I like for next year. already. |

Umm...you want wheels? How about Darren "335 yards on 35 carries" McFadden?
I know he's going to the Dolphins or the Rams (I guess?), but Christ on a cracker that's amazing. |

Re: hagan, where's the wheels?
I say we trade our number one for the best Veteran DT we can get. We add the best wide receiver in FA along with the best kicker. I would trade the rest of the draft for the best veteran CB we can get. I don't think we'll need anyone to replace Deuce Thomas, Stecker and Branch will be just fine with Bush in the backfield.
