the mare thing hurts because - if nothing else - the saints have a fine tradition of some great kickers.
though the memory of the missed extra point after the River City Relay was tough to relive in all its irony.

I love the "Flowbee" pic. The comment about Vinitari (spell), Mare can't fill his shoes in this lifetime or the next 50 lifetimes.

Yes again I'll will say that missed FG's are a problem. Mare is 6-12 but 3 of those are over 50 yards so if we say less than 50 yards are what he should make he is 6-9 with one of those being blocked and can't say exactly where the total blame lies there he would be 6-8. Now compare that to the stats from this link and he is right there with most of the kickers in the league. He hasn't had as many attempts. I'm not happy with his performance either but what are our other choices. NFL Football NFL Stats - CBSSports.com

Mare is not even on the page that you provided budsdrinker. I am the number one ANTI-Mare guy here. I don't agree with the reason for picking him up, just to save a roster spot. Carney was and still is a better kicker than Mare. We (fans) were told that this guy would be "Carney" only better. Well, nutz to that! This addition to the Saints has been the biggest mistake made by the current staff. Yes, even bigger than Jason David.

The point of the list is that Mare doesn't have as many attempts as the rest of the kickers. I don't like the fact that he is missing kicks either but we are stuck with him for the rest of the year.
